Critical Insight Recognized in 2021 Gartner® Market Guide for Managed Detection and Response Services
The Company was recognized as a Representative Vendor in the 2021 report for the 4th year in a row
Seattle, WA ‒ November 10, 2020 ‒ Critical Insight, a Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service provider specializing in protecting the networks of life-saving organizations and critical infrastructure, announced that it has been recognized in the 2021 Gartner “Market Guide for Managed Detection and Response Services” report. Critical Insight was named in the Managed Detection and Response category.”1
Critical Insight has been recognized as a Representative Vendor by Gartner for the fourth year in a row in the 2021 Gartner Market Guide for Managed Detection and Response Services. The company was previously recognized under the company’s former name, CI Security.
“MDR service providers offer a turnkey experience, using a predefined technology stack (covering areas such as endpoint, network and cloud services) to collect relevant logs, data and contextual information,” the 2021 Gartner Market Guide for Managed Detection and Response Services explains. “This telemetry is analyzed within the provider’s platform using a range of techniques. This process allows for investigation by experts skilled in threat hunting and incident management, who deliver actionable outcomes.”
Critical Insight is redefining the detection and response category by proving MDR is more than just eyes-on-glass. It’s everything to do with an incident. Pre-Incident planning (tabletop exercises, playbooks, clear IR plans), the identification of an incident, and then the resolution of that incident through response and recovery. Critical Insight includes options for organizations to choose from a set of affordable services aimed at preventing, defending, and recovering from an attack.
Critical Insight now offers automated response and manual incident response (IR) with a specialist 24×7, significantly reducing the impact of a breach and allowing customers to sleep better at night. Based on research, Critical Insight will be the first organization to offer this approach to clients within the defined MDR/EDR space. Critical Insight is redefining MDR, providing organizations with multi-faceted solutions to prepare (security risk assessments, awareness training, continuous vulnerability identification), identify (MDR, EDR, Office 365 monitoring), and resolve (IR playbook, regular tabletop exercises, IR retainer, Rapid Quarantine) incidents.

Nordic Consulting Board Chair Bruce Cerullo Wins CHIME Foundation Industry Leader Award
ANN ARBOR, MI, Nov. 12, 2021 – With over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Bruce Cerullo has served many times as a mission-driven leader guiding his team to success. Cerullo found an especially critical mission when he began working with the Opioid Task Force (OTF) of the College for Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). Determined to help the task force succeed in reducing untimely deaths from opioid addiction, Cerullo tirelessly worked as a key fundraiser, leveraging his healthcare industry relationships to inspire others to support the work. His dedication ensured that scores of task force volunteers from the ranks of healthcare industry experts had the support they needed to save lives through outreach, education, public policy advocacy and expert guidance for healthcare providers.
For this extraordinary commitment and leadership, as well as his steadfast support of CHIME’s mission, CHIME has recognized Cerullo with the highest honor given to a Foundation firm member by naming him as winner of the 2021 CHIME Foundation Industry Leader Award. The award recognizes a CHIME Foundation firm representative who has demonstrated exceptional dedication and made outstanding contributions to the healthcare industry, CHIME and the CHIME Foundation.
“Bruce’s dedication to furthering the life-saving work of the CHIME Opioid Task Force is truly admirable, and now even more vital in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, as the opioid crisis has intensified,” said CHIME Foundation Board Chair Shafiq Rab, MD, EVP and Chief Digital Officer for Wellforce. “His compassion for those affected by the crisis is making a palpable difference by providing real help for families and solid, expert resources for providers.”
CHIME launched the Opioid Task Force in 2018 in response to an opioid crisis so rampant that countless individuals, including CHIME members, had been seared by the pain of losing loved ones to overdoses. Cerullo led fundraising for task force accomplishments that to date include public policy initiatives, a playbook to assist providers, and an online Opioid Action Center with numerous leading-edge educational resources on emerging practices. The task force has redoubled its efforts in the wake of the pandemic, as mortality from opioid overdoses is estimated to have increased by nearly 30%.
“It’s incredible to be a part of an organization that recognized a problem and inherently felt the need to come together to create actionable tools to battle this crisis,” said Cerullo. “I am humbled to be recognized by CHIME and its members with the Foundation Industry Leader Award and look forward to continuing our important work.”
Cerullo is the Board Chair at Nordic Consulting, where he previously served as CEO from 2015 to 2019.

Dr. Ben Mansalis of INTEGRIS Health wins CHIME Innovator of the Year Award
ANN ARBOR, MI, Nov. 11, 2021 – As the COVID-19 pandemic triggered crisis after crisis, healthcare leaders deployed technology to solve unprecedented problems with innovation. Dr. Ben Mansalis led his team at INTEGRIS Health in the co-development of the first enterprise virtual care platform that incorporated all components of virtual care through a single digital front door. By allowing patients to be cared for safely at home with their families, this innovation eased the patient surge, helped prevent further spread of the virus and freed hospital beds so critically ill patients could receive care. For this invaluable and timely advance in digital healthcare, the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) has named Dr. Ben Mansalis as the 2021 CHIME Innovator of the Year.
“Ben and his team made a tremendous difference for patients and healthcare providers by driving rapid innovation at a time when it was necessary to save lives,” said CHIME Board Chair John Kravitz, Corporate CIO at Geisinger Health. “Innovation is most valuable when it serves human need and makes possible what at first seemed impossible. CHIME is delighted to honor this outstanding work.”
The innovative virtual care platform, HealthNxt, transcends traditional healthcare silos, incorporating everything from telemedicine to remote patient monitoring (RPM) to an AI-enabled symptom checker and patient acquisition tools. Additional advanced features such as eICU are now under development.
“The almost overnight deployment of RPM in response to the COVID-19 pandemic would not have been possible without a platform strategy,” said Dr. Mansalis. “A platform approach to digital healthcare is an innovation force multiplier. It enables the portability of clinical technology and the rapid iteration of care improvements across settings and disease states.”
The Innovator of the Year Award is given annually to a member of CHIME whose creative application of technology has demonstrated value to their healthcare organization with an innovative solution that can be shared widely with the CHIME membership.

Trinity Rehabilitation’s Dr. Robert Latz Wins CHIME Federal Public Policy Award for CIO Leadership
ANN ARBOR, MI, Nov. 11, 2021 – Federal policy on healthcare has taken center stage since the onset of the pandemic, as healthcare delivery has evolved through rapid changes necessary to save lives and protect public health. Senior leaders in digital healthcare play a vital role in the shaping of federal policy: their expert counsel to policymakers produces rules that protect patients and allow providers to function efficiently and safely.
Robert Latz, PT, DPT, CHCIO of Trinity Rehabilitation Services stepped up in 2021 as a leading proponent for healthcare technology policy that best supports providers and patients in combatting COVID-19. He also maintained focus on the long-running interoperability and health technology challenges facing long-term post-acute care (LTPAC) providers. Through these efforts, Dr. Latz became a champion for expanding access to telehealth during the pandemic. His work helped ensure that key services such as physical, occupational and speech language therapy were included in the federal pandemic flexibilities. For these contributions, the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) has named Dr. Latz as winner of the 2021 Federal Public Policy Award for CIO Leadership.
The award is given to a member of CHIME’s Policy Steering Committee who has shown exemplary dedication to improving federal public policy through active engagement in the policymaking process.
CHIME’s Policy Steering Committee (PSC) is well-known among federal policymakers as a brain trust of digital health leaders that serves an expert source for critical feedback from the front lines.
“Dr. Latz continues to establish himself as a steady and strong voice in the health IT policy world,” said Scott MacLean, co-chair of the CHIME Policy Steering Committee and SVP & CIO for MedStar Health. “Dr. Latz is ever willing to jump into any policy discussion or project, no matter how great the effort or time required. We are delighted to honor him with this award for his service as an invaluable contributor to our work.”
“I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to work with this amazing CHIME policy team,” said Dr. Latz. “As any of us on this team will share, there is still a lot to do. We know improving transitions of care will reduce rehospitalizations, improve care, and lower costs. However, for this to happen, we need good systems for patient and provider matching across the continuum of care. We also know cybersecurity needs to be top of mind across the entire spectrum of healthcare. Providing optimal cybersecurity may necessitate more support, especially for smaller and more rural healthcare providers including those in post-acute care.”
Dr. Latz is Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Trinity Rehabilitation Services in Florence, Kentucky with offices in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Connecticut. He operates at the forefront of merging telehealth into physical rehabilitation services, known as TeleRehab. He has been the leader on audits and security review projects, strategic plan of shared networks, and optimization of software integration. Prior to his work at Trinity Rehabilitation Services, Dr. Latz was the Corporate Director of Technology Integration for both Select Rehabilitation, a physical and occupational therapy care provider, and EnduraCare Therapy Management, a provider of physical, occupational, and speech therapy professionals to skilled nursing and Assisted Living Facilities.

INTEGRIS Health’s Rapid Response Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) Program Built On ‘HealthNxt’ Recognized At CHIME21
Dr. Ben Mansalis, Chief Information Officer, INTEGRIS Health awarded ‘Innovator of the Year’
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., November 5, 2021: Dr. Ben Mansalis, the Chief Information Officer of INTEGRIS Health has won the ‘Innovator of the Year’ award at CHIME21 Fall Forum, in recognition of his leadership and INTEGRIS Health’s lifesaving rapid response remote patient monitoring (RPM) program. The HCI Group, a Tech Mahindra company was INTEGRIS Health’s digital transformation partner for this implementation.
During the first COVID surge, INTEGRIS Health and The HCI Group collaborated to establish a Covid-19 rapid response RPM program in less than one week. The program was built on HealthNxt, Tech Mahindra’s fully-integrated, cloud-based virtual care enterprise platform designed to simplify patient experience by incorporating all the components of virtual care through a single digital front door. HealthNxt offers both patients and healthcare providers a single access point for all aspects of care including telemedicine, remote patient monitoring, AI-enabled symptom checking, e-consultations, reminders and other wellness tools, all underpinned by human-centered design.
The RPM program successfully minimized the need for actual hospitalization, with over 530 Covid-19 patients discharged from Emergency onto the platform to be monitored virtually. Other savings include the reduction of over 2,000 patient days and over $150K in PPE costs.
The RPM program was relaunched within 30 days of the second wave of Covid-19, leading to 140 patients enrolled in the remote care platform. The mortality rate for cognitive heart failure amongst Covid-19 positive transplant patients was reduced from 30% to 0%, and over 1,000 patient days were avoided.
“Saving lives and improving the quality of care is at the heart of why we developed the HealthNxt platform.” said Edward Marx, Chief Digital Officer of The HCI Group. “Working with INTEGRIS Health during the peak of the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, we were racing against time to implement a holistic solution that will empower both patients and caregivers with tools needed to be in control of health and medical care. We are pleased that our solution, built on the HealthNxt platform, helped minimize the burden on the healthcare system while saving lives of the vulnerable and sick. We congratulate Dr. Ben Mansalis for this recognition and look forward to continued success working with INTEGRIS Health.”

Censinet Announces Record Third Quarter and Year-to-Date Momentum in the Business
Results Driven by a Significant Increase in New Customers and a Rapid Expansion in Product Adoption from Existing Customers and Partners
BOSTON, November 2, 2021 – Censinet, a leading provider of risk management solutions for healthcare, announced a record-setting third quarter and year-to-date results. Driven by continued risks to patient safety, data, and care operations – as well as a dramatic increase in industry reliance on third-party products and services – Censinet experienced a record number of new customers, increased license and module expansion with existing customers, and continued network adoption by healthcare vendors.
“We continue to experience both new healthcare customer growth and deployment expansion with existing customers, all driven by the industry’s increase in overall risks and ongoing pressure to do more with fewer resources,” said Ed Gaudet, CEO and Founder at Censinet. “Our third-quarter performance reflects the growing trend for healthcare CIOs and their teams to manage cybersecurity as enterprise risk, transform operations through automation, and consolidate tools and resources for higher performance, better visibility, and more efficient outcomes.”
Key Censinet Milestones During Q3 2021:
- ARR Growth – For the quarter ending September 30, 2021, annual recurring revenue (ARR) grew 104% and 89% over the previous year’s quarter and year to date, respectively.
- NRR Increase – Net Revenue Retention (NRR) increased to 139% for the quarter ending September 30, 2021, over the previous year resulting from increases in customer adoption of new products and capabilities.
- New Products – During the quarter, Censinet released a significant expansion of its Censinet RiskOps platform with the formalized introduction of intelligence and workflows that address the cybersecurity requirements of healthcare research, including research overseen by an Institutional Review Board (IRB). The IRB review process puts a strong focus on protecting human subjects but often neglects the risks associated with how subject data is managed. Censinet augments the IRB review process, ensuring that patient data is secured appropriately and that each study has appropriate measures in place for data protection.
- Industry Thought-leadership and Recognition – During Q3, the Company released ground-breaking research, The Impact of Ransomware on Healthcare During COVID-19 and Beyond, with the Ponemon Institute, which for the first time quantified the impact of cybersecurity attacks such as ransomware on patient safety and care operations. The study and Company executives were quoted by leading national and healthcare news outlets, including the CBS Nightly News, Becker’s Health, and Healthcare IT News.
- Leadership Updates – Censinet added healthcare industry and cybersecurity veteran Chris Logan as Senior Vice President and Chief Security Officer to the Censinet executive leadership team and renowned healthcare system CIO Eric Yablonka to the Company’s Advisory Board.
