Current Health Teams Up with Zoom to Enable More Accessible, Equitable and High-Quality Care in the Home
Through integration, patients can more easily connect with care teams regardless of bandwidth connectivity or language barriers
BOSTON, MA. February 24, 2022. Current Health today announced an integration with Zoom, allowing health systems and their patients to launch the video conferencing service directly from its care-at-home platform. As a telehealth market leader used by 9 out of 10 hospitals ranked by U.S. News, Zoom will provide Current Health customers with enhanced video communications platform capabilities that expand their ability to deliver safe and effective virtual care services.
“At Zoom, we’re all about bringing people together – despite physical limitations. We’re proud to have so many health systems rely on us to connect them with their patients outside of the hospital, and we take this responsibility to help deliver a superior virtual care experience seriously”
As healthcare organizations look to deliver more care at home, video communication is an important tool to help assess and treat patients remotely. However, virtual communications come with new accessibility challenges.
Current Health’s integration with Zoom improves the patient experience and reduces barriers to access by providing more reliable virtual communications, even for patients with limited or low latency network bandwidth. The integration also provides the ability for multiple participants to join a telehealth session, allowing healthcare providers to discuss a patient’s diagnosis or treatment plan with an extended team of caregivers or family members. Additionally, interpreters can now be included in telehealth visits to enable better communication between the provider and patient and improve patient satisfaction and outcomes.
“Our mission is to deliver quality care for all people in the most seamless ways possible,” said Chris McCann, CEO and Founder of Current Health. “We know that home-based care reduces complications for at-risk populations and cuts costs by 30% for health systems. With this Zoom integration, we aim to build upon these benefits by empowering healthcare providers to replicate the in-person experience in the home to deliver best of breed diagnosis and care at scale.”
To take advantage of Current Health’s new Zoom integration, patients and their loved ones can simply connect to a telehealth visit using their own mobile or tablet device without ever having to download the Zoom application.
“At Zoom, we’re all about bringing people together – despite physical limitations. We’re proud to have so many health systems rely on us to connect them with their patients outside of the hospital, and we take this responsibility to help deliver a superior virtual care experience seriously,” said Paul Magnaghi, Global Leader ISV Partner Program at Zoom. “By teaming up with Current Health, we look forward to connecting more health systems with patients and their loved ones.”
To see the integration first-hand, visit Current Health’s Booth #846 at ViVE in Miami from March 6-9, 2022, and Booth #4859 at HIMSS 2022 in Orlando from March 14-18, 2022.

In his new role as the company’s Chief Population Health Officer, Dr. Silverstein will serve as a thought leader and advisor for population health management (PHM), providing strategic direction to Innovaccer’s executive team, health system boards, and customers. He will ensure successful implementation of innovative care delivery models and population health strategies that drive high-quality, patient-centric care.
“The transition to value-based care is crucial for bending the cost curve and improving clinical outcomes and experiences,” said Dr. Silverstein. “It’s also one of the most important use cases for digital transformation. In nearly two decades of working with health systems, I’ve noticed that even though there are some successes, what’s holding people back is the operations. I joined Innovaccer because the Innovaccer Health Cloud enables fast, cost-effective adoption of a comprehensive approach to PHM operations. It unifies patient data across the health system, creates the workflow and management tools that enable effective delivery of population health management, and produces the executive dashboards that are needed to succeed.”
In 2010, Becker’s Hospital Review recognized Dr. Silverstein as one of the 10 People to Know in the World of ACOs. He served as Senior Vice President at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, where he implemented one of the first value-based care delivery programs. He has worked in leadership roles with The Chartis Group, Geisinger Consulting Group, The Camden Group, and Sg2 HealthCare Intelligence. Dr. Silverstein is also a faculty member and advisor for The Governance Institute and holds appointments as a faculty member for The American College of Healthcare Executives and the Thomas Jefferson School of Public Health QSLS. He serves on the editorial board for Population Health Management and acts as a system and ACO board member for OSF Healthcare.
As Chief Population Health Officer at Innovaccer, Dr. Silverstein will work closely with healthcare leaders implementing value-based care programs that use whole-person care to improve clinical, financial, and operational outcomes. He will help customers understand the governance and technology changes required to shift from volume- to value-based care models. He will assist their teams as they implement, operationalize, and automate those models with the Innovaccer Health CloudⓇ’s Best in KLAS Data Activation Platform for population health management.
“Healthcare delivery and reimbursement models continue to evolve, and health system leaders need strong, highly experienced partners who can help them navigate change,” said Abhinav Shashank, CEO of Innovaccer. “Dr. Silverstein’s extensive experience will help our customers accelerate transformational initiatives in value-based delivery, governance, ACO strategy, clinically integrated network design, and population health management. We’re thrilled to have him join our team and help our customers leverage data and technology to accelerate their transition to the value-based care model.”

LeanTaaS’s iQueue for Infusion Centers Achieves Major Milestone of Reaching 10,000 Infusion Chairs
LeanTaaS experienced continued adoption and impressive 40% growth in both 2020 and 2021 during the pandemic as healthcare organizations seek AI-based tools that improve patient access and reduce administrative burden to cope with COVID-19 surges and severe staffing shortages.
SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Feb. 16, 2022 — LeanTaaS, Inc., a Silicon Valley software innovator that increases patient access and transforms operational performance for healthcare providers, today announced its AI-based platform for infusion centers, iQueue for Infusion Centers, has now officially been contracted by over 10,000 infusion chairs across the U.S, or nearly 20%* of the total U.S. market. iQueue for Infusion Centers grew out of a partnership with Stanford Health Care and officially launched as a product in 2015. It is now used by Oncology departments at 480+ infusion centers, including more than 80% of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) and over 60% of National Cancer Institute (NCI) members. This major milestone clearly demonstrates the continued need for healthcare organizations to increase access, decrease patient wait time, and lower healthcare delivery costs.
“During the pandemic, iQueue software has provided us visibility to our infusion resources and facilitated our ability to find capacity that may have otherwise been unused,” said Debbie Fernandez, Director of Quality, Oncology Service Line at University of Kansas Health System. “Furthermore, we have been able to leverage the iQueue platform, algorithm, and team(s) to augment our infusion capacity improvement initiatives and ultimately treat more patients on a daily basis than we could before utilizing the tool and team.”
iQueue for Infusion Centers leverages predictive analytics, optimization, and machine learning to help centers stay operationally agile and avoid bottlenecks by optimizing schedules and flagging future problems, which has resulted in a 25% improvement in nurse satisfaction, 50% lower overtime hours, 10% improvement in labor costs and 30-50% lower patient wait times while helping lift annual revenues by approximately $20K per chair per year.
“We started by piloting iQueue for Infusion Centers in our main infusion and academic medical center in 2015 and now have grown to having 13 infusion centers and over 230 chairs live with iQueue,” said Brian Shields, Manager of Performance Improvement at UCHealth. “It’s been quite a journey and we’ve experienced tremendous value from two core components of iQueue for Infusion Centers – the templates, which make it easy for our schedulers to make data-driven decisions, and the forward-looking and retrospective chair utilization charts, which let us visualize what our day is going to look like. These have become foundational tools for us for running our infusion centers.”
iQueue for Infusion Centers is a market leading product and is constantly evolving to meet the needs of its customers and solve the most current challenges prevalent in the industry. Recently, LeanTaaS launched the Executive Summary feature for all users of iQueue for Infusion Centers, which provides nursing and operations managers with quick, easy access to operational metrics and KPIs to make actionable and data-driven decisions.
“Health systems and hospitals are fighting tooth and nail against the challenges created by this latest COVID-19 surge,” said Mohan Giridharadas, LeanTaaS Founder and CEO. “A severe staffing shortage, unpredictable patient volumes, and long wait times are compounding to create a challenging situation for some of the most vulnerable patients who can’t afford to delay infusion treatments. The growth and momentum that we’re seeing with iQueue for Infusion Centers shows a commitment from healthcare organizations to address these challenges immediately for their patients and staff.”

Medigate by Claroty Wins Best in KLAS Award for Second Consecutive Year
KLAS Research recognizes company as the industry leader for Healthcare IoT Security
NEW YORK, Feb. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Medigate by Claroty, healthcare’s leading clinical device data security and integration platform, today announced its selection by KLAS Research as the 2022 Best in KLAS award winner for Healthcare IoT Security in the KLAS Software & Services Report. Despite increasing competition in the space, Medigate has maintained its leadership in this category for two years in a row, earning an overall performance score of 95.3 out of 100 and a high market energy rating. The award win comes just one month after Medigate was acquired by Claroty, the security company for cyber-physical systems across industrial, healthcare, and enterprise environments.
The annual KLAS report evaluates the overall performance of each product and service then grades the customer’s experience across the following pillars: culture, loyalty, operations, product, relationship and value. Medigate earned the title of Best in KLAS for its outstanding efforts to help healthcare organizations in their quest to deliver quality patient care. The award is given to only one vendor per category.
“Each year, thousands of healthcare professionals across the globe take the time to share their voice with KLAS. They know that sharing their perspective helps vendors to improve and helps their peers make better decisions. These conversations are a constant reminder to me of how necessary accurate, honest, and impartial reporting is in the healthcare industry,” said Adam Gale, CEO of KLAS Research.
“The Best in KLAS report and the awards it contains set the standard of excellence for software and services firms. Vendors who win the title of Best in KLAS should celebrate and remember that providers now accept only the best from their products and services. The Best in KLAS award serves as a signal to provider and payer organizations that they should expect excellence from the winning vendors.”
As noted in the KLAS report, Medigate customers “use the platform to manage assets/inventory, view device utilization, and identify device vulnerabilities. Of the vendors in this report, Medigate is most considered and most purchased by prospective customers, often because of the integration, intuitive interface, and functionality (e.g., device discovery). Current customers also mention the intuitive interface and praise Medigate for their collaborative relationships. Respondents appreciate that the vendor constantly upgrades the solution and subsequently trains customers.”
According to a healthcare organization that spoke with KLAS analysts for the report, “The interface and the capabilities of Medigate are far superior to the capabilities of other vendors we looked at. The way the product looks is not only more professional, but also well done, easier to use, and more intuitive… What made the difference was the team of people behind the product. We really felt like we were being held by the hand throughout the entire process. That gives us confidence that we are going to be licensing something that we can utilize. If something goes wrong, Medigate is there.”
“KLAS is one of the top analyst firms in healthcare, and being selected as a Best in KLAS winner two years in a row is a huge testament to the strength of our platform’s capabilities and our market presence,” said Jonathan Langer, COO of Claroty and co-founder of Medigate. “We still have so much more to do, and with our recent merger with Claroty, we’re able to dig deeper into securing the Extended IoT (XIoT) in healthcare, with even more resources and technical capabilities to drive value for our customers.”

SmartSuite for Pharmacy is an AI-powered solution that cross-links an electronic prescription from a provider’s EHR to an actual product on the shelf at the receiving pharmacy. Innovaccer Receives 2022 Best in KLAS Award in New Data & Analytics Platforms Category
Innovaccer earned the top ranking based on high customer satisfaction, product quality, and product value scores in KLAS Research’s first annual assessment of data platform solutions.
SAN FRANCISCO— Innovaccer Inc., the Health Cloud company, announced that KLAS Research has presented the 2022 Best in KLAS award for Data & Analytics Platforms category to the Innovaccer Data Activation Platform, as part of its annual assessments of healthcare industry software and professional services.
After interviewing customers across leading vendors and collecting more than 600 comments, KLAS ranked Innovaccer as the overall leader in its new Data & Analytics Platforms category with a score of 92.2 out of 100, reflecting market-leading product performance that meets or exceeds customers’ goals for high quality implementations and functionality, seamless integration, training, support, and delivering new technology that drives tangible outcomes and value. Innovaccer also received the highest customer satisfaction overall, with 85% of customers reporting they were “satisfied” or “very satisfied” with Innovaccer’s Data Activation Platform.
“2022 is the year of the data platform, and we’re thrilled to be ranked #1 in this new category,” said Abhinav Shashank, cofounder, and CEO of Innovaccer. “People are starting to realize that they need a data platform to drive digital transformation. The big winners in healthcare are going to be the organizations that understand their data well and can drive transformation by unlocking the value of their data. And to do that, a data platform is essential because it makes it possible to electrify your data assets and drive rapid innovation. KLAS creating a Data & Analytics Platforms category is a clear recognition of that.”
Innovaccer’s Data Activation Platform offers a fresh approach to driving whole-person care. It breaks down data silos by unifying healthcare data into a single, longitudinal patient record in an open yet secure cloud data platform. In this unified data model, all healthcare data sources—including clinical, claims, labs, pharmacy, and even external third-party data sources such as social determinants of health (SDoH)—are cleaned, standardized, and integrated. The developer-friendly data platform supports FHIR standards for healthcare data interoperability and has the ability to write custom analytics models that can work across the platform and applications.
A Best in KLAS Award recognizes software and services companies that excel in helping healthcare professionals improve patient care. The rankings—which represent direct feedback from providers, payers, and payviders—represent the level of commitment, partnership, and performance that top-ranked vendors should provide. The comprehensive KLAS assessment provides insights into how healthcare executives commented and ranked the performance of leading data platforms across multiple performance areas.
“Integration is Innovaccer’s superpower,” notes a healthcare CEO and president interviewed by KLAS. “They have recognized something that a lot of companies are trying to do, which is to bring together messy [healthcare] data and unify it. Even when we are starting to get into FHIR and things like that, there is a cafeteria of different data types and sources. Some of the formats are messy, and some are clear. Innovaccer has really built their capabilities, not just their technology, to ingest and integrate data. They [allow] their customers to take their own direction and bring in their own upstream data sources. We need to be able to be pointed toward necessary data sources, even if another vendor has a weird connectivity mechanism.”
Being recognized by KLAS Research as a Best in KLAS vendor and a leader in any category—let alone a new category, such as Data & Analytics Platforms—is one of the highest honors a vendor can receive. It validates the success of a vendor’s technology and its contributions to the healthcare industry. The mission of the annual KLAS assessment is to help providers and payers evaluate best-in-market technologies. It determines its rankings from a combination of in-depth interviews and data points captured over a period of 12 months through a process of customer interviews. Its transparent and impartial insights provide an unbiased view of market solutions and how they provide value.
