CHIME Recognizes 14 Gozio Health Clients with “Most Wired” Status These health systems are part of an elite group honored for excellence in digital health
Atlanta, GA – November 30, 2022 – Gozio Health, an industry-leading, customizable, location-aware mobile engagement platform, today announced 14 of its health system clients received “Most Wired” recognition from the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). The CHIME Digital Health Most Wired Survey recognizes healthcare organizations that demonstrate excellence in leveraging digital technology to improve care delivery, patient safety and health outcomes.
One of Gozio’s clients—University Health—is one of just 18 health systems in the nation to be awarded Level 10 certification, the highest level of recognition awarded, in the acute care category. To be certified at Level 10, organizations must exhibit an outstanding record of leveraging the power of digital technology within a visionary corporate strategy. In fact, CHIME raised the bar for digital health expectations this year, making University Health’s Level 10 designation all the more prestigious.
Clients that received Level 8 or Level 9 recognition for demonstrating dedication to excellence in digital health in the acute care category include:
- Deaconess Health System (Level 9)
- Grady Health System (Level 9)
- John’s Hopkins Health System (Level 9)
- Novant Health (Level 9)
- UNC Health (Level 9)
- University of Miami Health System (9)
- University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (9)
- Yale New Haven Health System (Level 9)
- Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (Level 8)
- Hospital Sisters Health System (Level 8)
- Nicklaus Children’s Hospital (Level 8)
- Piedmont Healthcare (Level 8)
- University of Tennessee Medical Center (Level 8)
The CHIME Digital Health Most Wired Survey includes more than 38,000 facilities from 10 countries that serve patients across the continuum of care, from acute care to ambulatory care and long-term/post-acute care.
“We wholeheartedly congratulate our partners for achieving ‘Most Wired’ status for excellence in digital health,” said Joshua Titus, CEO and founder, Gozio Health. “The stakes for designing the right digital experience in healthcare are high, with one out of four consumers saying they would switch providers for high-quality digital services. These 14 organizations are leaders in digital strategy and innovation, we admire their forward-thinking approach, and we are honored to work with them.”
Digital health capabilities are a “critical muscle” for health systems during the pandemic, according to CHIME. “The last three years have been a period of remarkable disruption and challenge for healthcare organizations,” CHIME states in its Most Wired trends report. “As healthcare organizations large and small work to reinforce and reinvent solutions to fissures exposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, it is important to recognize the incredible role digital health is playing in the healthcare ecosystem’s regeneration.”
At Nicklaus Children’s, which put all its consumer-facing digital services into a single mobile app for patients and their families in 2022, the “Most Wired” award validates its approach. “Today, digital access to healthcare services and live support is critical to meeting the needs of children with complex conditions, who might travel an hour or more to receive in-person care,” says David Seo, MD, vice President and chief information officer, Nicklaus Children’s. “We’re excited to be recognized as a ‘Most Wired’ organization and look forward to the continued advancements we’ll make as we deepen our investments in digital innovation.”

The Acquisition Will Bring Together Leading-Edge Cloud Hosting Services and Managed Cybersecurity-as-a-Service to Provide a Seamless, Enhanced Experience to Hospitals and Healthcare Organizations
Marlborough, MA (November 7, 2022) – CloudWave, the expert in healthcare data security, announced the company has acquired Sensato Cybersecurity. Sensato, a managed cybersecurity services company focused on protecting healthcare providers from ransomware events and other cybersecurity threats, was founded by long-time health information technology visionary John Gomez, who will join CloudWave as chief cybersecurity officer.
Sensato developed a fully integrated Cybersecurity-as-a-Service platform (CaaS) that features an innovative solution stack to provide real-time network monitoring, intrusion detection, and asset fingerprinting along with a 24×7 Security Operations Center designed specifically for healthcare infrastructure and connected devices. It will be available immediately as part of CloudWave’s new Sensato Cybersecurity suite.
As healthcare organizations are increasingly being targeted by cybercriminals, CloudWave’s Sensato Cybersecurity-as-a-Service suite provides a level of security unique in the industry. It combines the ability to comply with best practices and regulations, detect threats, and respond to cybersecurity incidents in a fully integrated and easy to deploy holistic platform.
The Sensato Cybersecurity suite is a natural fit with CloudWave’s OpSus Cloud Services. It will enable hospitals to implement a fully managed cybersecurity program, resulting in full HIPAA and NIST compliance, with end-to-end service and support from a single provider. The company’s Cybersecurity Tactical Operations Center (CTOC), a next generation SOC, employs a unique tactical approach to cybersecurity with continuous monitoring by cybersecurity analysts, while also incorporating machine learning. The blending of operations for cybersecurity and cloud service delivery into a single extended healthcare ecosystem, spanning public cloud, private cloud and on-premises healthcare technology environments is unprecedented and provides a seamless, enhanced experience to customers.
“As a managed cloud service provider to hundreds of hospitals, CloudWave has witnessed how devastating a cyber event can be to healthcare organizations. Unfortunately, the frequency of these attacks continues to rise— an increasing number of customers have called upon CloudWave for rapid response services to help halt and remediate cyberattacks on their on-premises systems in just the last two years,” said Erik Littlejohn, president and CEO of CloudWave. “With the addition of the innovative, proprietary technologies included in the Sensato Cybersecurity suite, along with the cyber expertise of the Sensato team, CloudWave will be able to offer customers the high-level cybersecurity we provide for our cloud-based delivery to on-premises systems.”
Rich Temple, Vice President, CIO at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, NJ, commented, “The Sensato Cybersecurity suite offers a level of healthcare data protection to hospitals that would be difficult to implement on our own. There’s peace of mind in knowing that our systems are being monitored and protected by an experienced team of cybersecurity specialists.” He continued, “As a long-time CloudWave customer, we know that having a single partner for services delivery of our cloud-hosted applications and our on-premises cybersecurity systems and support simplifies our IT operations significantly.”
CloudWave is the largest independent cloud and managed EHR hosting provider in healthcare and has been delivering secure IT services to the healthcare market via the cloud for more than a decade. The company is 100% focused on healthcare with more than 250 hospital environments currently managed in the public cloud and the OpSus private cloud. Company recognized for comprehensive and robust asset intelligence platform; ranked highest among competitors for technology excellence and customer impact
SAN FRANCISCO – December 1, 2022 – Armis, the leading asset visibility and security company, today announced that it has been named a clear leader for technology excellence and customer impact by Quadrant Knowledge Solutions in its recent report, SPARK Matrix: Connected Medical Device Security Solutions, Q4 2022. The advisory and consulting firm recognized Armis for its comprehensive and robust asset intelligence platform, which applies the collective intelligence from more than 3 billion tracked Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), Internet of Things (IoT), operational technology (OT), and information technology (IT) assets to secure the integrated technology requirements of modern connected care delivery.
The report provides a detailed analysis of global Connected Medical Device Security Solutions market dynamics, major trends, vendor landscape, and competitive positioning analysis, ranking the leading connected medical device security solution vendors in the form of a SPARK Matrix. This research provides strategic information for healthcare delivery organizations (HDOs) to evaluate different vendor capabilities and competitive differentiation.
“The key differentiators for the Armis platform include strong risk and vulnerability management capabilities,” said Rohan Paul, Analyst at Quadrant Knowledge Solutions. “Further, the company’s extensive Collective Asset Intelligence Engine, the agentless security approach, passive, real-time monitoring with no latency or disruption of operations, its querying capabilities, and the intelligent reporting and analytic tools that can help HDOs optimize usage/performance of their assets are a few components that set Armis apart from its competitors. Based on our analysis of the company’s capabilities compared to the market, Armis is a clear leader for its technology excellence and customer impact.”
Quadrant Knowledge Solutions also highlighted the company’s capabilities for:
- Providing contextual risk assessment based on vulnerabilities, device behavior, history of cyberattacks, protected health information (PHI), and manufacturers’ reputational risk.
- Extending insights to non-medical devices, such as Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC systems, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), tablets, Raspberry Pis, vehicles, and other generic IoT devices. Additionally, devices that may impact patient privacy, such as streaming cameras and recording devices like smart speakers, can be identified and monitored.
- Identifying and alerting unencrypted transmission of PHI, helping to protect PHI.
- Supporting extensive integration options for data governance, automated security enforcement, workflow generation, and compliance reporting.
“At Armis, we pride ourselves on our technology excellence and customer impact, so we’re honored to be recognized by Quadrant Knowledge Solutions as the clear leader in these areas,” said Oscar Miranda, Chief Technology Officer for Healthcare at Armis. “Healthcare delivery organizations are up against significant challenges given today’s ever-expanding cyber risk landscape. We’re committed to doing our part in partnering with and supporting HDOs as they work towards improving their organization’s security posture to address the new extended attack surface that connected assets create.”
“Armis has definitely filled in the gaps in our security arsenal by uncovering risks we never knew about previously,” said Dr. Michael Connolly, Chief Information Officer at Mater Misericordiae University Hospital. “At first, I thought Armis was a nice-to-have, but now it’s become an integral part of our cyber defense. Cybersecurity Is Patient Safety: CHIME Submits Comments On Sen. Warner’s Cybersecurity Policy Paper
WASHINGTON, DC, December 2, 2022 – Yesterday, the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) and the Association for Executives in Healthcare Information Security (AEHIS) provided comments on Senator Mark Warner’s (D-VA) policy options paper, titled “Cybersecurity is Patient Safety.”
CHIME and AEHIS applaud Senator Warner’s leadership and long-standing commitment to highlighting and improving the patient safety and national security risks posed to the healthcare sector by cyberattacks.
“CHIME and AEHIS members are encouraged by the much-needed Congressional focus on cybersecurity in the healthcare sector. Our members are dedicated to cybersecurity best practices, but providers have long needed additional, federal support to defend themselves from the increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks,” said CHIME President and CEO, Russ Branzell. “We know all too well that our sector is under siege with a war being waged by cyber criminals, deploying cyber-attacks that escalate in gravity with each passing year.”
Additionally, the healthcare sector is only as strong as its weakest link – and smaller organizations are not sufficiently resourced to fend off cyberattacks. CHIME and AEHIS are encouraging Congress to create and prioritize cybersecurity programs designated to aid small and under-resourced providers. This will allow them to protect themselves against, detect, respond to, and recover from cybersecurity threats and cyberattacks – and in turn, protect their patients. Federal programs can truly be successful by providing monetary aid, additional training and resources, and technical assistance. These crucial resources will enable providers to implement recognized cybersecurity practices, replace legacy systems and devices, conduct security risk assessments, generate an action plan for mitigating identified risks, and hiring dedicated health information technology (IT) staff.
Congressional action can increase funding and federal coordination – and is the only way to ensure that we can improve the nation’s cybersecurity in the healthcare sector through all available avenues. Branzell stated that “cybersecurity in our sector continues to be underprioritized. We appreciate Senator Warner’s thorough and thoughtful policy options paper, and look forward to providing additional feedback to his office as thought leaders and subject matter experts in cybersecurity and healthcare.”
