“These outstanding organizations are elevating standards for the healthcare IT industry,” said Russell P. Branzell, CHIME’s president and CEO. “They are the best of the best with phenomenal digital health teams who are transforming health and care. We are honored to recognize them with the highest award given under our Digital Health Most Wired program.”
The CHIME Digital Health Most Wired survey and recognition program encourages innovation in healthcare by assessing the use of advanced technologies that improve health and care, and by recognizing healthcare organizations that move the industry forward. By highlighting best practices, Most Wired provides a road map for all healthcare organizations that strive to meet the highest standards. This year 30,091 facilities were represented – almost double 2019’s total – with 754 surveys completed by healthcare organizations in 14 countries.
CHIME has been steadily growing the Most Wired program since taking it over in 2017 and launching a revised and updated survey in 2018. This year CHIME added a long-term care survey to the existing domestic, ambulatory and international survey offerings. In 2019, CHIME introduced level 1-10 certification for all participants, with special recognition for organizations that achieved levels 7-10. In 2019, three organizations earned level 10 recognition: Avera Health, Cedars-Sinai and UCHealth.
Each of the 2020 Superior Performance Excellence Award recipient organizations will be highlighted, along with a list of all level 7-10 organizations, in a publication scheduled for release during the CHIME20: Digital Recharge virtual forum held Nov. 10-12.
