8 Healthcare Organizations Join Forces to Launch Info Blocking Resource Center

ANN ARBOR, MI, Feb. 5, 2021 – With the deadline for complying with federal information blocking regulations quickly approaching, physicians and other healthcare providers are getting assistance from eight leading healthcare organizations. Starting today, the Information Blocking Resource Center will be live and will highlight tools and resources to educate and help prepare healthcare professionals for the April 5 information blocking applicability date.

 

The American College of Physicians (ACP), American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), American Medical Association (AMA), American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA), American Psychiatric Association (APA), College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) and Premier Inc. have pooled resources and provided a centralized location for healthcare professionals to access the information necessary to understand and comply with these challenging 21^st Century Cures Act requirements.

 

Powered by CHIME Public Policy with search and sorting functions, the Information Blocking Resource Center offers links to regulatory overviews, documents, articles, cheat sheets, guides, webinars and other documents submitted by the eight organizations. The center will also feature resources released by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC). Materials are organized under nine categories:
