CHIME Offers New Analytic Tool for Assessing Budgets, Products and More
ANN ARBOR, MI, March 5, 2018 – Members of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) have a new analytic tool to benchmark their healthcare organizations and create custom reports based on searchable criteria. The tool will be unveiled today at the 2018 CHIME HIMSS CIO Forum in Las Vegas.
Named TransformIT, the easy-to-use tool allows users to view member organizations and compare data in categories such as budgetary spending, financials, organization type and location. Users also can get an overview of vendors and products by organization or by other filters, along with names and contact information for an organization’s CIO or senior healthcare executive. If a member has a question about a certain product, for instance, he or she can turn to TransformIT to find colleagues with experience using that product.
TransformIT also allows members to correct and update their organization’s entry, which will help ensure that analyses are based on accurate and current data.
“TransformIT is a great way for our members to gain intelligence for making strategic purchasing decisions, setting a budget and seeing how their hospitals and health systems compare with peers,” said Shafiq Rab, M.D., MPH, chair of CHIME’s Strategic Planning Committee and senior vice president and CIO at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. “We no longer are at the mercy of analytics based on unreliable data. We are empowered to make TransformIT a robust repository of timely data.”
CHIME will make TransformIT available to members in a tiered rollout, starting today with attendees at the CHIME HIMSS CIO Forum in Las Vegas. All members will receive an email invitation to join with instructions on how to create an account in the portal. This benefit is exclusive to CHIME members and will be immediately available to new members who join CHIME. For more information about membership, go here.
