CHIME Partner Education Summit (CPES) Brings Unique Value to Your Organization
6.12.18
By Frank Nydam, healthcare vice president and chief technology officer at VMware, CHIME and CHIMe Foundation Board member and CPES Committee Chair
Like many relatively new programs, each year CHIME Partner Education Summit (CPES) has evolved. The thing that sets CPES apart from other industry events is that ours is an event for you, planned by your peers. The CPES Planning Committee has further refined our messaging and defined our aims for the event, working to ensure that each year’s program aligns with your needs in the healthcare IT space.
The positive response on from both years has affirmed our commitment to hosting this event and providing relevant continuing education opportunities for our CHIME Foundation members. CPES18’s agenda was directly influenced by feedback from previous year’s attendees, as well as program evaluations. The thoughts shared tell us that CPES topics and content are relevant, timely, and help give your teams the tools you need to build and enhance CIO relationships.
As we head into CHIME Partner Education Summit (CPES)’s 3rd year, CPES18 promises our members the tools they need to engage with clients in a more nuanced, informed way, with cutting-edge data on a variety of topics. For those of you attending for the time, you’ll be pleased to see that the program covers a lot of ground in our 3 days together. We’ll begin in the later afternoon on Wednesday, September 5 with words from Liz Johnson, CHIME Foundation’s Board Chair, after which CHIME’s own CEO/President, Russ Branzell. Russ will paint a picture of the current HIT landscape, the winds of change on the horizon, and how to optimize your position to respond. We’ll have a meaty first session that evening to set the tone for the days to come; “Creating a Trust Relationship”, co-presented by a CHIME CIO and a CHIME Foundation representative. We’ll end the evening with dinner and drinks together.
Thursday is a full day of learning, packed with information that’s sure to hit home for you and your teams. Topics include “Cybersecurity Preparedness”, “Cooperating to Advance a Mutual Interest”, “Perspectives from the C-Suite” and “Data-informed Ways to Improve & Build Relationships”. Thursday’s agenda features two opportunities for breakout sessions, with topics of interest for all; AM sessions include “International Partnerships”, “Conducting an Engaging Partner Conversation” and “Why CFCHE? Learn More About Certification”. After lunch and a dynamic presentation on “Washington and Beyond” the afternoon features our second chance for breakouts with, “Identifying Key Service Gaps: Opportunities for Consulting Firm” and both a beginner and an advanced version of “Understanding the Provider Buying Process”. Following our education on Thursday evening will be a fun reception, with local Chicago CIOs in attendance.
Friday morning we’ll finish our time together with breakfast and two highly anticipated sessions, “Lessons Learned: Perspectives from CIOs & Foundation Firms”, and “Envisioning the Future; Forecasting Provider Needs”. The program will close in the early afternoon, and those who are interested in pursuing professional certification can take the CFCHE exam right on-site, from 12pm-2:30pm ET
