Here is a roundup from CHIME of recent news and upcoming events:
Time is running out to qualify for CHIME18’s early bird discount: CHIME members who register for the 2018 CHIME Fall CIO Forum before July 6 will receive a $400 discount off the standard fee. This fall’s forum will be Oct. 30-Nov. 2 in San Diego. You can register here. Be sure to check the website frequently for program updates.
An opportunity to shed light on medical device security issues: If you have concerns about your organization’s medical device security, or the overall state of cybersecurity for medical devices, please consider taking a survey jointly offered by CHIME and KLAS. Your responses will be anonymous, with the aggregated data from you and your peers analyzed and presented in an upcoming KLAS/CHIME Medical Device Security report. You can participate in this research by filling out this online questionnaire after which KLAS may arrange a quick follow-up call to clarify responses.
A special note for health IT leaders in the Southeast: CHIME has partnered with Georgia HIMSS to offer exclusive executive track sessions taught by CHIME faculty on Oct. 16 during the 2018 Georgia HIMSS Annual Conference. To attend, you must be a senior healthcare IT leader and a member of, or eligible to join, CHIME, AEHIS, AEHIT or AEHIA. The sessions will focus on current trends in transformative technology, cybersecurity, population health and contemporary best practices. The CHIME track is approved for four CHIME Continuing Education Units that count toward Certified Healthcare CIO certification. You can register here.
