Lancaster, PA – October 9, 2018 – “We share Smart Health Innovation Lab’s mission to transform healthcare, and we are excited to partner with them to help the Lab’s early-stage companies navigate the integration and interoperability process with ease, so they can focus on what they do best: improving the healthcare experience.”
- Smart Health Innovation Lab’s 12-week certification program plays a unique role in helping market-ready technologies expedite their path to health system adoption and insurer reimbursement
- Redox’s integration platform helps Smart Health-certified healthcare technology vendors gain full EHR interoperability across all major EHR applications, enabling them to focus on innovation not integration
- By gaining access to Redox’s platform, Smart Health Innovation Lab’s certified graduates can accelerate adoption of their innovative solutions by healthcare systems
Smart Health Innovation Lab, a market adoption accelerator for healthcare technologies, today announced a partnership with Redox, healthcare’s leading integration platform, to offer access to Redox’s EHR interoperability solutions to startup graduates of the Lab’s certification program.
Developed collaboratively by Aspire Ventures, Capital BlueCross, Clio Health, and Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, the goal of the state-of-the-art Smart Health Innovation Lab is to advance cutting-edge technology aimed at improving health outcomes, lowering costs, and enhancing both the patient and provider experience.
The Lab’s key initiative is its 12-week Smart Health Certification Program, which focuses on accelerating market-ready technologies and hurdling the challenges associated with market adoption and insurer reimbursement. Technology, payor, and clinical experts work closely with early-stage companies to help them validate their products, integrate their technologies into clinical workflows, and gain adoption from providers and insurers.
Through the new partnership with Redox, the Smart Health Innovation Lab pairs graduates of the Smart Health Certification Program with leading experts in interoperability. Redox’s integration platform enables comprehensive EHR interoperability with any health system. As a result, the Smart Health Innovation Lab and Redox will help the Lab’s resident startups overcome one of the biggest obstacles to healthcare technology market adoption: integration across – and interoperability with – all major health systems.
“We understand the significant market adoption challenges that healthcare technology startups face, and helping companies overcome these challenges was one of the primary factors behind the creation of the Smart Health Innovation Lab,” said Kim Ireland, CEO, Smart Health Innovation Lab. “With our new partnership with Redox, we’re further positioning our resident startups for market success by streamlining the highly complex process of gaining EHR interoperability across health systems.”
“We are consistently amazed at the highly innovative technologies being developed by healthcare technology companies, and we fully understand that these organizations don’t want to spend their time and resources on integration efforts,” said Niko Skievaski, president and co-founder, Redox. “We share Smart Health Innovation Lab’s mission to transform healthcare, and we are excited to partner with them to help the Lab’s early-stage companies navigate the integration and interoperability process with ease, so they can focus on what they do best: improving the healthcare experience.”
