Cardiopulmonary Corp. to Host Focus Group at CHIME15 Fall CIO Forum
CEO Janet Dillione will gauge health IT leaders on emerging trends for improved patient care
MILFORD, CT – October 6, 2015 –- Cardiopulmonary Corp (Bernoulli), a recognized leader in real-time connected healthcare, will conduct a focus group session during the upcoming CHIME15 Fall CIO Forum on Friday, October 16. The conference, which brings together health IT executives and chief information officers, is hosted by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) and will take place in Orlando, Fla., from October 14-17.
The focus group, entitled Using Emerging HIT to Increase Patient Safety and Improve Outcomes – Are We There Yet? will be led by Cardiopulmonary Corp. CEO Janet Dillione and examine how the market is shifting beyond electronic health record adoption and Meaningful Use checklists to deliver long-term success. Emerging applications such as alarm management, clinical surveillance monitoring, telemedicine, real-time predictive analytics, and evidence-based medicine support tools show great promise to improve care and reduce costs.
This session will bring together CIOs and other health IT executives to explore where these innovative trends fit in their crowded list of priorities. Is Meaningful Use and digital documentation of care still the primary focus? Or is the desire to demonstrate value-based care moving to the forefront? The focus group will also share actual results from early adopters of these applications, best practices for improving patient satisfaction and ways to leverage these trends to drive efficiency in clinical workflow.
“Clinical surveillance, virtual ICUs, alarm management and predictive analytics are just a few of the new applications shifting today’s healthcare marketplace, and many CIOs are wondering if and how their organizations could benefit,” said Ms. Dillione. “This unique setting allows us to engage with IT leaders on the frontlines, hear how they are approaching and adapting to healthcare’s rapidly changing landscape, and understand the real costs and considerations they face in finding a solution to their institution’s unique challenges.”
