Cumberland Consulting Group Named One of the Nation’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies for the Ninth Straight Year
NASHVILLE, TN – August 16, 2017 — Cumberland Consulting Group, a leading healthcare advisory, implementation and outsourcing services firm, announced today it has been named to the Inc. 5000 list of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies for the ninth consecutive year. The firm is ranked 3,237 on the 2017 list.
This is the company’s ninth year on the acclaimed list. Of the tens of thousands of companies that have applied to the Inc. 5000 over the past 36 years, only a fraction have made the list more than once, and a mere half percent have made the list nine times, according to Inc. Media.
“The Inc. 5000 list is a prestigious ranking of businesses across the country, and we’re honored to be included for the ninth year in a row,” said Brian Cahill, CEO of Cumberland. “While I’m certainly proud of this accomplishment, I am most proud of our team’s ongoing commitment to serving our clients, which has driven our growth.”
Cumberland has doubled its revenue since 2013 and has expanded its reach in the payer, provider and life sciences healthcare verticals through organic growth of service offerings and three strategic acquisitions. In addition to its recent recognition for revenue growth, Cumberland was also named to Modern Healthcare’s Best Places to Work list in May for the fifth straight year.
Inc. Magazine compiles the annual list of privately held US-based companies that have experienced significant growth over a three-year reporting period. The 2017 Inc. 5000 is the most competitive crop in the list’s history. The average company on the list achieved a mind-boggling three-year average growth of 481%. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue is $206 billion, and the companies on the list collectively generated 619,500 jobs over the past three years.
“The Inc. 5000 is the most persuasive evidence I know that the American Dream is still alive,” said Inc. President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg. “The founders and CEOs of the Inc. 5000 tell us they think determination, risk taking, and vision were the keys to their success, and I believe them.”
