August 3, 2015 - Redspin has announced in the first six months of 2015, they’ve helped more healthcare Business Associates (BAs) than in all of 2014. The demand is attributed to the HIPAA Omnibus Rule requirement for BAs and their subcontractors to fully comply with HIPAA security regulations. A Business Associate is defined as any organization that has access to the protected health information (PHI) of a HIPAA Covered Entity.

August 20, 2015 - Cerner and CoverMyMeds, the nation's leading electronic prior authorization platform, have announced an agreement to integrate CoverMyMeds’ ePA within Cerner’s Millennium EHR.
